Idea #1:  The spacing or layout of pages. It seems that most web pages are designed to conserve space. What space?  It seems that web designers want to conserve screen space.   Why?  It isn't a consumable resource.  The following two sentences will take up the same amount of storage space, and transmission time over the "Net". The spacing or layout of pages. The spacing or layout of pages. Now, which one do you prefer to read?  They really are the same sentences. My point?  Why do so many Web designers use the smaller font? I really don't care why, I just wish that they would quit. I like my Web pages setup so I can sit back in my desk chair, and read the screen from there.  With the scroll bars on the top and bottom of the screen, I can get anywhere on the Web page I need to. On the other hand, I don't like those web pages that go on forever.  You know the ones, they are nine or ten pages long if you print them, and have a dozen different subjects, and take twenty minutes to load.  Then when they do load, 90% of the stuff you aren't interested in anyway.  More on navigation later.
